As a recent grad from NBCC Saint John (Class of 2015, baby!) - I'm fresh out of the Business Administration, Marketing Program, but also armed with over a decade of experience. Spending most of my previous career in the funeral industry (not joking!), I managed marketing and sales for an answering service serving over a thousand funeral homes across North America. It was an interesting gig to say the least.

 

After making the decision a few years ago to move on and pursue a higher education, I put my head down and vowed to make it the most worthwhile venture I ever took on - sacrificing countless evenings and weekends with my hubby and two young daughters - for two very long years. It was a long road for all of us... but guess what? You can come out on top. With the highest marks from the entire graduating class in hand, I was rewarded with an incredibly inspiring work term, countless local networking opportunities and top-notch job offers.

 

Imagine that: Hard work DOES pay off.

So, where am I now?

 

After honing my new-found skills with a few very notable Saint John companies, my heart and home came calling. Yearning for a sense of freedom and fliexiblity for my young family, I left the 9 to 5 behind, tapped into my growing network around the city and harnessed the reputation I worked so hard to build. 

 

I'm now working from home, for myself. I'm excited to apply my passion for marketing and business to new industries, with the goal of helping today's businesses succeed by serving today's customers.
